Opening Day, Friday, November 21, marks the start of the season with a special Winter Village Time Capsule celebration. Guests are invited to bring a photo from past visits—or snap a new Polaroid onsite—to include in a capsule that will be sealed until Winter Village’s 20th anniversary in 2035.
This year, Winter Village introduces new features designed to ensure everyone feels welcome and comfortable:Sensory Relief Zone: A dedicated, quiet retreat space for neurodiverse guests or sensory processing differences, equipped with calming sensory items.CARD-Certified Staff: All staff and attendants have completed training from USF’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD).Enhanced Accessibility: Widened pathways, improved ADA access, and multilingual signage (English, Spanish, and low-visibility enhanced text).
Experience art in action with local artist MA Art, live painting during Opening Weekend and Thanksgiving Weekend at Winter Village Tampa! Watch a festive winter scene come to life during operating hours, capturing the spirit of the season in real time. Can’t make it for the live event? You can still take home a piece of the magic—postcards featuring the finished painting will be available for purchase all season long!
Curling is available Wednesday through Sunday on a first-come, first-serve basis. Curling operates at the same hours as our food and beverage. Equipment can be picked up from the Winter Village Attendant at the Winter Village event kiosk in exchange for an ID. We ask that play on the court does not exceed 30 minutes to allow other guests the opportunity to play.

To mark its milestone year, Winter Village will debut special 10th Anniversary merchandise for purchase, including commemorative pocket T-shirts, stickers, and postcards featuring a live painting of Winter Village by artist M.A. Art. Merchandise can be purchased at the Winter Village event kiosk.
Celebrate Shop Small Weekend, unboxed by PODS, November 28–30 from noon to 4pm, with 18 additional small businesses including little entrepreneurs and local artists. The first 100 shoppers will receive a “I Shopped Small at Winter Village” tote bag.

Date: December 6The 2025 Santa Fest is back at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park followed by the annual Tampa Tree Lighting.The parade steps off at 1pm beginning at Morgan Street and Madison Street. It travels west on Madison Street to Ashley Drive, turns north and ends at Ashley Drive and Cass Street. Best viewing is along Madison Street.Tampa’s Tree Lighting Ceremony begins at 6pm with a concert of familiar Christmas favorites, dazzling dancers, and stage entertainment starring SuperStar Cortni. WFLA Anchor Paola Suro joins Mayor Castor to light the seven beautiful Christmas Trees in the park.Once the trees are lit, a holiday movie will be shown. Admission is free.
Date: December 20Tampa’s largest lighted boat parade will happen the Saturday before Christmas along the Hillsborough River in Tampa's Downtown. The parade begins at the southern tip of Davis Islands, travels through the Convention Center basin and up to the Heights where the boats will turn around and head to Sparkman Wharf where judging will occur and the parade will end.To learn more, click here.

How do I become a vendor for Winter Village?
The Shops at Winter Village, delivered by PODS® Moving and Storage, were selected in Spring 2025. Please check back during Spring of 2026 for applications for next year's Winter Village shops.
Are Dogs Allowed?
Leashed dogs are welcome on the Tampa Riverwalk, Downtown parks, the dog park adjacent to Winter Village, and Winter Village event areas.
Dogs are not allowed on the ice rink.
Is The Winter Village Free To Attend?
Winter Village is free to attend and is open to all ages. The shops and café area feature specialty goods, food and drink for purchase. The ice rink requires paid admission to skate and for ice skating rentals.
